SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

25 years in local government including County Councils, a County Borough and a Development Corporation with specific expertise in highway design, traffic engineering and environmental noise. Joined private sector in 1986 obtaining particular expertise on all aspects of development projects.

Widely experienced in the following aspects of professional expertise:

• Preparation of major urban and rural road design from inception to construction
• Preparation and updating of traffic models
• Design and supervision of development roads and drainage
• Preparation of environmental reports
• Providing development advice to developers, local authorities and interested groups on matters involving highway design, traffic impact and environmental impact
• Preparation and giving evidence at Public Inquiries which have included major development of residential, retail and employment areas, a race-course, local plans, London Dockland development, and on noise and environmental nuisance
• Evidence has been given in a large number of Public Inquiries in front of an Inspector, The Land Tribunal, Magistrates Court, County Court and the High Court, and the various inquiries have ranged in duration between one day and in excess of two months. These inquiries have covered land compensation and covenants through major developments, trunk roads and mineral plans.
